The Canning and Wungong Dams are always worth a visit as the roads are scenic and quiet. In fact, they were particularly quiet last weekend as the road out to the Canning Dam was closed so we didn’t actually get to visit it. Nonetheless, if you use the map below, you’ll get the general idea of how to get there and back.
Just as the train line to Midland is a good way to get to the hills for The Madness, the Armadale line provides a convenient route to Mills Road East. The map above starts from the Windan railway bridge over the river. We stopped briefly to appreciate a golden sunrise. Chong wishes to point out that he has more than one cycling outfit but is enjoying wearing his Bianchi one at the moment.
